8/31/2008, The 5th Annual Golf 'N' Q It's the 5th Annual Golf 'N' Q! Starring absolutely no celebrities! but golf was fun, and the burgers were good. Timing was not so great; golf course was backed up. BUT Rock Band was fun! but I didn't win at poker :( sad face. BUT I WON at Pin The Tail On The Donkis!! Alright, check it all out here; at the official 5th Annual Golf N Q picture page. Accept no substitutes.

6/27/2008, The Dreaded Plumbing Repair and Meet Vladimir It's been a very long time since our last update here and so much has happened! We have tons of pics to post but if you've talked to me over the last week there was only one topic of discussion and for that reason I wanted to post the pics relating to it. I have spent the last four straight days doing nothing but plumbing repair after we discover a very serious problem lying in wait in the bathroom floor. Check out Spiderrun manor emergency plumbing repair.
Our new little guy has also arrived, so I definately had to put some pics up of him. Check out Vladimir the Whippet

12/31/2007, Christmas Swiss Trip We're home! Got in late last night, but you gotta check out the pics from the last couple of days, and the story of me forgetting to bring my passport! Ooops!
Dec 26, Dec 27, Dec 28
OR check out all of Victor's Swiss Adventures!

12/10/2007, The Final Post of 2007 As we wind down another year we look back at some memorable events. I finished the work on our deck here and did some other outdoor projects in Yard, Part 6. We had Church's 30th Surprise Birthday and of course Mr Pink's Surprise Birthday Party and Spiderrun Paladium. We managed to get out to our favourite provincial park again and do some Camping With Cody 2007 but one of the most memorable things this year was putting drains in my basement! I'll never forget, heh, so I had this one bag of concrete, and I did this thing where I lift it up. Man, it was funny, I guess you had to be there...
Hazaa! But of course! We got married. I'll just answer your question now, does it feel any different being married? Yes, I have more hand puppets than ever. Anyways, check out all the cool events leading up to the weddding in the Wedding Preamble, then when you're ready to see the main event check out Our Wedding, The Day Of and finally Our Wedding, the Ceremory and Reception
Happy holidays everybody! I hopy you all get a puppy or a pony for Christmas!

11/4/2007, Visiting the War Museum, Spiderrun Manor Floor Repair and Little Logan! A friend of mine was quoted as saying "everybody does home renos, but only Chris makes a big deal of it..." There is light at the end of my renovation tunnel however! The main floor of Spiderrun Manor is starting to look good! Starting with the completion of Valhalla Hall, our main room. Also did a big job down in the Basement (Part 3)
Meanwhile my little buddy Logan has been into a bunch of new adventures and my friend Yank made revisions to his Reflux Condenser Still
Finally, Celine and I got a chance to check out the renowned National War Museum This place is so cool and I got so many pictures that this will be Part 1 of 2.
I watched a movie called Naked Lunch. It taught me that doing drugs is bad. I don't think I got much more out of it than that however...

8/1/2007, Lots Of Family, More Outdoor Work and Canada Day Fireworks! I remember the summer of 2007 like it was only yesterday. Things seemed simpler then, it was the summer of carefree lazy days. We had that great Father's Day BBQ, we toured the old family breeding grounds when we visited the family in Haliburton and of course Uncle James got married.
I think I remember that being the summer of the great fireworks spectacular over at Kevin's and the summer I toiled away in the hot freakin sun pulling up thousands of pounds of concrete.
It's all good in the hood.

6/12/2007, Holy Update Winkman Winkie the evil hand puppet dictator here, coming at you across the web radio waves. Man we've got a huge post for you, a couple new things and a couple things from the past we forgot to put on the site (whoops! did I mention I have a fuzzy red pom-pom for a brain).
Let's fire it up with a fur update. The cats have been settling in, in fact a little too much. They started a Union. It's killing me! Strikes, labour shortages, but check out what the unionized cats have been up to. So I had to do the work on the yard myself, check out the Spiderrun yard, part 4.
Within close vicinity of the manor, lots of interesting things have been brewing. Those fantastic kids Kevin and Lisa had a great wedding. Check out Kevin and Lisa's wedding ceremony here. Little Logan, fantastically over energized child that he is, turned one and so we had Logan's first birthday. You gotta see the chocolate cake incident! Finally, after all our hard work on Church's deck he thanked us by kicking sand in our eye. Just kidding of course, he jabbed us in the rib with colouring pencils. Oh, just kidding again, he threw us all a deck builder's BBQ! Woot!
YET, there is still so much more! Chris made his annual trip out to Las Vegas Nelvada for the NAB trade show of associated broadbathers. Tour around Las Vegas city with Schnu and Chris. When you're ready to suck in the harsh dry heat that Nevadlah kicks out, head out to the desert on the back of a Harley Davidson with Winkie and Curious George! Hazaa!
Finally, from the long lost "you thought we forgot about it" archive... it's the Mont Tremblant 2007 pictures! Join the crew as they modify their facial hair to meet the latest French style and try to supplement their annual protein intake by eating all meat meals. It's the Mont Tremblant 2007, indoor pics. The real fun however takes place cruisin' through the snow covered pine trees at 40kmh. Check out the great outdoor slopes of Mont Tremblant
If that's not enough!.. Oh wait, nope, that's it. Hey, if anybody borrowed Adrienne's Sex In The City DVDs Season 5 & 6 could you drop us a line. You know how to get a hold of us through the underground hand puppet network.

4/22/2007, Beer Reviews, More Renos and Kev and Lisa's Stag and Doe! Chris managed to end up with some "waiting time" recently while taking some out of country flights; so he went through some old pics and let me tell you... we're getting real fancy here on the Spiderrun farm! First we'll start you off with some of our very famously biased Beer Reviews. Check out what's happening in the guts of Spiderrun Manor with a quick peek at the Basement, Part 2 and for some pics that are actually worth checking out you gotta see Kevin and Lisa's Stag and Doe pics. They are super dooper (pooper trooper nuker zooter fork cheese)
Coming soon, some other pictures worth checking out, however, since we seem to be on a 6 month delay, you can expect the February ski trip pics in September.

2/17/2007, Yet more renos, Christmas and New Year's Eve Pics Let's pretend for a second that Chris was abducted by aliens, and that he was gone for 45 days but because of what the aliens did to him, he was only under the impression that he was gone for 10 minutes.
So when Chris gets back to earth he thinks, "wow, what a strange experience. Well, let's post those pics from New Year's eve that were taken a couple days ago."
Yes, so without further ado, here's the pics from the New Years Eve Engagement Party. A big shoutout to Maria and Celine for taking pics. I didn't actually get any. Also you got'sda checks outs the RDM Christmas Party 2006 shots
If you're in a Mike Holmes mood you can check out the latest reno-mo-vations on Spiderrun manor, Media Room, Part 2
Is it a gaggle of chickens? or a plethora of Chickens? I can never get these things right...

2/6/2007, Family Christmas Pics and More of The Attic Heyo. It's been a while and when you see the pics I post you'll really get a kick. Here's the dealio; I got an XBOX and since then I haven't showered or even brushed my teeth let alone make a post to Spiderrun. The only reason I'm making a posting now is cause the white box overheated and I have to let it cool down for 10 minutes.
So here they are, the Family Christmas 2006 Pics and some renos I did like 3 months ago; the Attic, Part 3.
I'll tell you what's queued up though, those New Year's Eve pics are coming, right under my mouse cursor actually... hehe, oh man, what was Judy doing to Frank in that pic??! Anyways, Ginny did a great job of capturing the evening and she managed to find some time to throw them up on her site. You GOTTA check these shots out, they are absoluetly fantastic. Jump to Ginny's site here: Ginny At Large
Can't talk, XBOX is booting again.

12/9/2006, Miller's Wedding, More Work On Spiderrun Attic Well, the Christmas season is upon us, and you all know what that means; I get to steal Chris's credit card and rack up huge bills at the LCBO! I love being a hand puppet, give anybody the puppet-dog eyes and you can get away with anything!
Alright, so I knew Chris had a wedding coming up so I made sure to climb into his suit pocket a couple days before hand to make sure I got taken to the wedding. Come the day of the wedding his suit was still in the closet however! That's when I realized as a member of the wedding party, he rented a tux! I left him a little puppet treat in his sock droor. Check out the fun we had at the rehearsal dinner and of course the the wedding day!
Back on the homefront, we've moved the attic in the right direction, towards completion. I say this because when Chris renovates, a lot of projects seem to move away from completion for a long time before they move anywhere near completion. We found some old pics of the attic before it got denatured and titled this composition "Attic, The Prequel". 10 months later Chris finally got back to the attic, part 2
Don't forget, for Christmas I want 5 lbs of plutonium, a rocket and a puppy. But don't bother buying Chris or Winkie anything - spend all your money on Emma, Rowlf, and Bruce.

11/20/2006, The Reno Weekend A weekend off! Holy crap! What to do with ourselves!
Well first off, Chris and Schnu made some more headway on the cold storage room. You wanted excitement? Well check out shelves being bulit, woo hoo! Yeah, that's excitement... uhh. Anyways, check out Cold Storage, Part 2 if you really want to. Or how about getting some work done on that freaking Media Room. Wouldn't it be nice it that were finished before 2010.
We also attacked the attic, the main basement and the garage, including going into the DREADED CISTERN!!! but you'll have to wait for those pics. All I gotta say is, oh man, you'll have nightmares when you see this cistern
...and yes Rob, the attic is coming along nicely.

11/6/2006, Plethora of Pictures and Sue Goes Back To Work It's been three months since our last post here at Spiderrun. Partly because I, Winkie, has been having cosmetic surgery to repair my eye but I've been getting around...
I got to sneak out to a couple weddings including James & Andrea's Wedding, Church & Rocket's Wedding and a stag for Miller's upcoming wedding!
Chris and I also hit up some backwoods relaxing by going Camping with Cody 2006
Of course you can't forget the quality family time spent during Thanksgiving 06 and our continuing Hunt For Churches. Those two things have nothing to do with each other.
Chris has been banging hammers and running drills again so he must be getting things done on the house. Have a look see how the Cold Cellar is going and some fixes made to The Kitchen.
For more options press the # key.

10/11/2006, The Squirrel Who Played With His Nuts All Summer Once upon a time there was a squirrel and a bear. There was also a badger, but that's not part of this story. All summer the bear gathered acorns in preparation for the long winter while the squirrel wasted his days cross dressing and staying up late performing karaoke. When the winter came the bear was prepared but the squirrel, who had fritted his days away, had really high heating bills.
Listen, what I'm trying to say is that I futzed about fixing up the yard all summer, which looks real sweet but doesn't help keep heat in the attic. Also, I wish I was better at Karaoke.
Too bad too since there's so much to post! September was an amazingly fun and action packed month; weddings, family stuffs, cottages and the like but it's going to have to wait until I'm done the cold storage, the media room, and especially the attic.
Stay tuned, because on Nov 6.06 we'll have the biggest post ever to date!! See you then!

8/20/2006, Stags, Showers, A Home Town Visit and the Yard Is Done! Winkie here, as my online empire grows I realize I must take more precautions with my personal security as my list of enemies grows. So I'm going underground, but before I do, let me hassel Chris some more.
Okay this week's posting consists of more pictures from the epic saga that is Church and Rocket's wedding. Check out this piece of the latest installment, Church's Stag and Rocket's Shower. It's clownerrific! That's like terrific but with more clown.
On a completely seperate and yet highly boring topic, Chris goes back to visit his hometown, a complete tour of the little berg called Keswick. We're calling this one A Trip Down Memory Lane
Finally Chris got around to finishing the the yard so I tricked him by putting jet fuel in the lawnmower. We'll see how that works out.

7/30/2006, Church & Rocket's Stag and Doe Hey all! Winkie here, still blind as a sock puppet with no eyes, which is why Chris left me at home when he went to Church & Rocket's Stag and Doe. Hopefully one day Susan will feel the full gravity of her actions and offers to sew my eye back on since Chris doesn't know how to.

7/23/2006, Weekend At The Cottage, The Butterfly Conservatory & James and Andrea's Stag 'n' Doe Winkie here, blind as a freakin bat because my final eye was pulled off. That's a whole different story though. Alright, Mintzer has been busy or bored depending on how you look at the amount of time he puts into this site, so we've got a massive update for you this week.
Enough banter, let's wind this thing up so I can get back to stumbling around looking for my plans for world domination. First you have to go check out the movie from Kevin's canada day spectacular. Then see the great loot Chris won down at James and Andrea's stag and doe. Celine dropped by and they hit up the Butterfly Conservatory! Ooo, butterfly-a-riffic. Finally we headed up to Bec & Randy's cottage. With Chris passed out on the dock I grabbed the camera and got a boatload of pics. Make sure you check out both pages!
Say, this Puppets That Kill show is pretty good. I'll have to try and hook up with those guys. Hazaa! I am the Jew of Malta!

7/3/2006, Landscape This, Dave and Sue Wed and Canada Day Fireworks Hazaa and welcome to another edition of Winkie Daily. Actually at the rate that Chris posts it's more like the Winkie annual. Don't look at me, I have fuzzy tufts for hands! Do you know how long it would take me to crop all those photos?
Well, it was off to Newmarket with Chris and Schnu for Dave and Sue's wedding. A big word of warning, though I jumped into Chris's suit pocket like I normally do to hitch a ride to weddings, on this particular day he didn't wear his suit! Sun of Chlomesky!!!
Meanwhile, back on the Spiderrun Manor, Chris tears the hell up of the the yard again. What's the difference? I sure can't tell!
Finally, Kevin throws his 3rd annual canada day fireworks spectacular! I actually caugh on fire! Then I stop dropped and rolled and was fine, except now I permanently smell like burning plastic.
Watching the progress of Goodwitt Manor?, well, it's been updated. Go look!
Plus we got some fantastic new schtuff for sale on our online garage sale! I guarantee this stuff will move quick! Ava Kardarva!!!!

6/4/2006, Spiderrun Yard Renos, More Fur & Geekerfest 5! Hello all my hand puppet subjects, just a reminder that June is national hand puppet month... so is July and August.
Well, we sure have something for everyone this time around. First off, Chris added some new beers to the review pile. We grabbed some shots of how the fur balls are settling in to Spiderrun cat manor and we've been hacking away at the yard but the pics you've all been waiting for, Geekerfest 5 was a great time, tanks, grenades and all that stuff, albeit a little warm in the manor.
We have a new entry this month into this little family we like to call the Internet. Churchy has his own site now, check it out over at http://goodwitt.com. Uh, negative, I am a meat popsickle.

5/7/2006, Uncle Winkie, More Spiderrun Renos and Old Guy Hello all you crazy puppet lovers. It sure has been a while since we had an update and I'll tell you why. I'm a touch typer. Yup that's right, in case you haven't noticed as a hand puppet I only have two digits. But enough about my disabilities, how about some freakin pictures already!
We have a couple updates on the hunt for churches and some of Chris's favourite beers. With all the beer being consumed Chris got a lot of work done on Spiderrun Manor. Check out more storage Mr Fix It! and the old guy finally turns 30!.
But the best news is that Eme had her bebe, so we popped down to check out my new nephew, little Logan
I am Puppet, hear me roar!

3/15/2006, Mont Tremblant 2006! Hello my army of hand puppet adorers. It's me, Winkie again. Well, the kids went to Mont Tremblant again this year and wore some really nasty facial hair while they were there. Anyways, Chris took me, in fact, he let me drive while he grabbed some shut eye, but I got us lost in Hull so Chris took over for the rest of the way.
Anyways, who the hell cares! CHECK OUT THE PICS MAN!!! We got two pages, the indoor pics and the pics on the slopes! To see all the shots from the Tremblant trips you want to go here.
Don't forget, every year thousands of hand puppets are orphaned in Tibet. Adobt a Tibettan hand puppet today!!

2/24/2006, Horseshoe Vacation Hello fellow hand puppets or hand puppet wanna-be's. Well, my beloved owners Chris & Ag decided they needed a break from the hustle and bustle. I personally love when they take vacations because I normally slip into their luggage and get to come along. This time however I was tricked! After waiting for two days inside Chris's regular luggage I realized he got a new suitcase and I missed going to Horseshoe Valley. So I got revenge by feeding the cats house plants so they would barf all over the place.
Anyways, check out the pics Chris took at Horseshoe Valley. Yes, it's been a while, but Chris took the DV cam up to Barrie as well, so don't forget to check out the movie, Boardin with Mintz.
The Hand Puppet Uncertainty Principle states that at any time a hand puppet could appear out of thin air and land squarely on your head.

2/18/2006, A Pirate Photoshop Cruise and Winkie Goes For Gold Hey all, it's another disturbing installment of This Means War! This time there is a story to go with the pictures. To get yourself in the mood you can go and read our pirate jokes
Now for the important stuff. To all my fans who cheered me on during the training season, my big day has finally come. That's right, I, Winkie was asked by the Canadian Olympic Association to represent Canada in several sports! Check out my blog to read all about me in the olympics and my attempts to call large corporations.
Doo doo doo-ah

1/29/2006, Winkie Goes Bowling & More Haus Renos Oh my loyal subjects, you all look so small down there from my massive golden and gem adorned throne which I rule my kingdom from... but dictatorships are hard to run! The hand puppet army needs money for gambling and bribing foreign officials, so Katie organized the first annual Bowling for Winkie! It was a great deal because I won by cheating, and I took all the proceeds! Unfortunately the other hand puppets stuck me with the bar tab!
Back at Spiderrun Manor, Chris has enlisted an army of his own; a renovation army! Rob and Church pitched in and helped by attacking the attic and helping clean up after the plumber.
Nixon would be so proud, I followed the smell of money, and earned it all honestly by embezzling from orphanages. As they say; it's only larceny if you get caught... Winkie for president?

1/15/2006, The Composter is Done, the Street is Done, and Spiderrun Beer Reviews Are Here! "When I first heard of Spiderrun, I thought it was going to be a nice charitable organization. That nice man, I think his name was Mr Winkie, he said all the proceeds go to orphaned hand puppets that would otherwise be abadoned at garage sales. So I wrote him a cheque. Later I found out he was building an army; an army of hand puppets or something. How could that be? How could anybody be so inhumane? So completely devoid of compassion?" - Testimony of Norma G. Hemner, Age 78.
Well my lumpy potatoe sack friends. We have some fun updates for you today, oh yes we do. You'll definately want to see the update on Chris's duo tone farce of a composter. What is up with that guy, seriously, who builds a composter?! Can we get him examined by a professional or something. He also started some reviews on his favourite beers, which might explain the composter.
Don't forget to check out my online blog. I've been a busy little hand puppet.

1/7/2006, RDM Christmas Party, Family Christmases, More Spiderrun Manor Renovations Oh civilians of the Winkie Nation. Is it true what they say? Is Winkie the hand puppet started an army?
Okay, on with the show. After much anticipation the RDM Christmas Party pics are up. Why did the take so long to post you ask? Well, I'll tell you... Why don't you just shut up, that's why.
Meanwhile back on the Spiderrun Manor farm, down in the basement, Chris is still hammering away at stuff. Oh look, he built a spice rack, no, wait; it's a Composter. Yes, it's very nice Chris, but I hope you know hand puppets don't compost well...
Christmas came and went and all that remains are the turkey leftovers and the great goodies that we got. Check out the family Christmas pics
Laura and Jonas have been very active on their Japanese travel blog. The pictures are absolutely amazing, much better than pictures of composters. Oh and there's some new junk in the online garage sale.
Happy new year everybody! May your compost mulch nicely and may your orange rinds break down without incident.

12/19/2005, The Bike Show and Spiderrun Manor Renovations Hello crafty nuisance-mongers. Your illustrious leader Winkie here just wishing you a Merry Clownmas. That's like Christmas but with more clowns.
To start we threw up some great movie reviews of our top 5 Christmas movie classics including, the Nightmare Before Christmas, Scrooged, Die Hard and Star Wars III, Revenge Of The Sith… yup, our top 5!
Well Chis went to the Toronto Bike Show 2005 and didn't bring me along this year. I know what you're saying you judging cretins! If I hadn't eaten all those chilli dogs and barfed on the 2005 Honda models maybe I'd have been invited back. Oh well. I have no regrets.
Finally, the big arm and Schnu have decided to share some of their pictures of the Spiderrun manor demolitions, I mean renovations... no I don't. Check out how things are going in various rooms including the basement, the kitchen and my personal favourite,
the new driveway
I know what you're saying to yourself, with Christmas coming up, will there be clowns? All I can say is, oh there will be clowns, there will be lots of clowns. You could almost say, it will be clownalicious. That's delicious but with more clowns...

11/3/2005, More War, Window Shopping For Tanks and the Last Golf Game of the Year! Alright you slack jawed monkey chops! Are you done making those wallets I had you working on? No? Well then, NO SOUP FOR YOU!
Let's get down to the pictures. Church had his annual invitational golf game, Chris, who will now hereafter be referred to only as, "the hand" took me to Ottawa to visit Celine. Though denied entrance by some crazed French man we did get some good pictures of tank bums. Meanwhile back in reality land, Church holds his annual invitational golf tourney and the Green jacket never fell so far Chris's grasp. You gotta check out the pics of the golf cart mayhem.
On a more serious note, the photoshop fiends have been at it again. Don't know what I mean? Well then, this means war! Did you miss the skunk goodness that is camping with cody? Well you better go back and check it out now, shouldn't you? Go on!
What's this? It seems the bloggers have been active. The McCanns were AWOL for a while but they finally washed up on the shores of Australia and I've been sharing the nightmare that is road construction.
Don't look at my eye... Argh! My other one is falling out... Is anybody good with needle and thread? The "hand" is all thumbs!

8/31/2005, Cats, A Wedding, Rafting & Guns! Hello everybody, your illustrious leader Winkie here, King of Winkiedom, and you, my loyal subjects are in for a treat. We're sorry Chris couldn't be here, but he's being tortured in an attempt to disclose the location of the secret rebel base.
Well now, we've got new furball pictures, check out the beasts getting used to their new digs at Union. We also have the continuing saga of Curtis and Katie's wedding; and let me assure you, now that the pilot has taken off we've been granted rights to make a whole season! That's right, soon we'll be bringing you great episodes like "Katie and Curtis discuss who should do the dishes tonight..." and "Katie negotiates with Curtis on where his collection of university beer cans should go..."
Schnu goes to Las Vegas on some family business and squeezes some rounds off at the firing range while she's there. Finally, I got to go on a whitewater rafting trip, my head is still wet and I'm missing an eye, but that didn't happen on the trip. That's right! It's the most fun you can have on the internet, within legal limits... and just in case that's not enough for you, we've posted some pirate jokes. They were written by some other hand puppets so don't come crying to me when you realize they suck. Oh, and you just gots ta check out the cool movie I produced from some Canada Day fireworks. If you don't like it, I'll get Christopher Walkin to do you some damage you won't walk away from!
DON'T LOOK AT MY EYE!

8/7/2005, Uber Update Hello all. My name is Winkie. I have taken over this website. Chris, the previous CBO (Chief Beer Drinking Officer) and president has been removed from his post of responsibility and forced into early retirement. This is what happens when you take a position of responsibility and squander the profits of a major corporation like Spiderrun.ca on cheap home electronics and power tools. The board of directors, comprised of myself and other hand puppets have taken control of this fiasco and are going to turn this Exxon Valdez of a website around.
If you don't like it, here's a link to a website you'll like even less.
Still here? Well then, you might as well check out some of the fun stuff we threw up on the site. Chris hit the Wynne's cottage without me, the jerk. However, some of my close friends Tuberculosis and Hepatitis made sure to dominate the weekend entertainment. The Farrells hit Ireland and took some great shots, but there are no hand puppets! What is with that man! We'll have to rectify that before the end of the quarter. Mark and Jodi tie the knot. I was not invited since they don't make golf clubs for hand puppets and apprently I'm a cheap drunk, after all, I weigh 18 grams. Bec and Randy invite a boat load of people up to their fantastic cottage. I couldn't go since Chris left a 25 pound mallet on my head and couldn't find me. Taking a trip down memory lane, we threw the pictures of Joel's 30th surpirse birthday up. These were taken about a year ago, maybe it was two, but Joel is lookin' fabulous at a young 29. Our new running gag is the Hunt For Churches. Ever look at a church and say, hey, that's a cool old building? Yeah, us too...
And remember kids! This fall during the provincial elections, mark and X beside Winkie from the Green Republic Handpuppet People's Liberation Party!

7/26/2005, Curtis and Katie's Buck 'n' Doe and This Means War 6! Whoa, what's been going on, where am I? That was one long coma I was in. The last thing I remember was posting to Spiderrun on March 23rd then something hit me in the head that was furry, had four paws and responded to the name, "Rowlf"
Oh well, that was then and this is now. With the arrival of 40 degree weather comes weddings and the infamous cash grab that preceeds them. That's right, the Stag and Doe. So put on your party shoes and pack your good liver because it's Curtis and Katie's Buck 'n' Doe. Also, we've been screwing around at work again killing some time between now and retirement, so you gots to check out This Means War! Part 6
Oh hey, looks like Winkie checked in, well its good to know he's safe but if anybody sees him, let him know I miss him and now I don't have anything to wipe Rowlf's drool up with.

3/26/2005, Boardin' At Tremblant and a Road Trip To New Hampshire After getting my snowboarding skills up to par at the local ski hill we decided to challenge the big boy hill, Mont Tremblant. Though most of us came back with only small bruises, sprains and sore nipples the luring siren song drawing us back to Quebec will unfortunately never diminish. We had a great place to stay thanks to the Church and since I got lots of fun pictures they're spread across the the Chalet shots and the actual skiing shots. While I was rooting for something else to fill the site with I came across some fun pictures we took while heading down to New Hamshire last year and our detour through the Finger Lakes region.
Don't forget to check out the new crap in the online garage sale, we've started packing for our move (which is not actually in 6 days as stated below, this is just the closing date) and the real good stuff is coming out of the closets!

2/7/2005, Geekerfests and Meet Emma Well, with not many days left in our current house before we move I thought I'd throw one more little Geekerfest. Geekerfest 4 proved to be just what Environment Canada ordered as 60 cms of snow gently fell outside. While I was at it I threw some older Geekerfest 2 pictures up from 2003. Also, we have a new fur-monkey in the family. Be sure to meet Emma before you leave!
Last but not least, a project I undertook a couple of summers ago has finally come to completion. Be sure to check out the time lapse movie of the yard growing over the summer. See the movie of 4 months of yard growth in 2 minutes! Eat your wheaties and grow up to be big and strong like Brendan Frasier!

1/5/2005, Ag's Trip To Minneapolis, The Toronto Bike Show, My Tank Collection and WAR Part 5! Wow, you might think I had some time on my hands over the holidays or something. Well you would be right! What you can't see on this site is the thousands of Origami ducks I made! So we've got lots of fun stuff for you this week starting with pictures from Adrienne's trip to Minneapolis last year. I know, you're saying, what's in Minneapolis. Well you better check out these pictures to find out the answer to that! Oh yes, I collected every single one of those babies for future behavioural analysis. I said a big word!

10/4/2004, Fall Camping At MacGregor Point, Golf at Savannah Links and Geekerfest 3! Hello fellow Sherpas! Just a quick update to let you know that everything is well! Some basic facts about the status of all things Mintzsky-O'Farrellsky. yes, we are engaged (about time she proposed to me) but no, we don't have a date yet. Yes, we have a new cat named Rolf, but no, we haven't found out why he drools so much. Yes, I am a closet sheep farmer, but no, we have no bananas today...
Alright, all silliness aside, we finally got to get out of town for some much needed camping, you know, return to nature kind of stuff. See how cool October camping is, check out the Fall Camping Pictures here and after months of a successful marketing camping Geekerfest 3 finally came to a head! If you have no idea what I'm talking about then you definately have to check out the Geekerfest 3 pictures here! Of course, what fall expose would be complete without shots from a Golf Game At Savannah! see more green than you could ever want!!
Okay, now just to let you all know we have something big coming up here at Spiderrun in the next couple of weeks, so keep your ears to the ground, your nose to the wind, your eyes to the sun and your ass to the grindstone! Chairman Mao bless you!

Just fer fun I threw up some pics of Spiderrun Creative Central, and if that's not enough you can come along for Our Hot Air Balloon Ride. However, there was one very special event which we can't forget, Daddio and Jackie picked a special day and we all joined them for Dad & Jackie's Wedding!

7/14/2004, Pookie and Troy get Married and When the Spiderrun Saints Come Marching In! Whoa dude. It's been like seven years since I posted new pics. I have a good excuse though. I was golfing :) Yah, yah. Alright, here's what you get. My sister got married. The first of all of us, but who will carry on the Mintzsky name? Bah! We'll worry about that later, for now you gotta check out the great pictures of Eme and Troy's Excellent Wedding.
We also have a new fun and exiting feature for all you kids who are looking for some way of killing time at work. It's the Spiderrun Online Quizes, that's right. 3/10/2004, The Long Dark Winter Whoa, you know when I don't update pics for a long time that something good is brewin' eh? Maybe something big and exiting eh? Or maybe I'm just pulling your chain eh? Cause if you know me you know that sometimes I'm serious and sometimes I'm not eh?
So I was hungry the other day and too lazy and stupid to hunt for my own wild pepperoni so I ordered a pizza from everybody's favourite Canadian pizza shop eh? Then I waited, and waited, after a while I though it would be funny if everybody knew that I was still waiting, but by now I think my pizza is free eh? Can somebody verify that? Is it 400 minutes before it's free of 4000 minutes before it's free. Anyways, I made a clock to help me keep track, who knows, maybe it's 40,000 minutes or it's free?

1/14/2004, Happy New Year! Alighty then, well Christmas came and went now didn't it. I hope you all got what you wanted. I didn't and I think I just want to vent for a little bit here. Let's have a discussion about that dissapointing fat man called Santa. For over fifteen years now I have been asking for 5Kg of Plutonium and not once have I gotten it. I did get some coal once which if you know anything about the chemistry of degrading atomic elements could have once been plutonium, hmmmm, actually it would have to be lead. Some might say it's because the Lebanese are no longer an active terrorist state (for cultural reference please see the original Back To The Future movie) but I say it's because I turned down Santa's request to have a blog on Spiderrun. However, here are two people whom I didn't turn down requests to have running journals or blogs on our little site here which incidentally is celebrating it's 125th year in operation!! Isn't that wonderful!
Alrighty, first off we have Ophelia's RAAANT! Guaranteed to be 547% better than anything I could ever crank out and always so true. Second we have Dwayno's Travels In Australia Yes that's right, my brother decided he didn't like the direction that the toilets flushed here in North America so he jetted down (and over) to Australia for the year. Very cool, but the wickedest part is that he'll be adding pics of his journeys as well. Okay, everybody say it all together with me "Oooooooo, Ahhhhhhh!"

12/21/2003, Merry Christmas! Alright, we have a Christmas special here at Spiderrun! You're going to love our Yule Tide joy, especially if you've had as much Egg Nog as me! Hee hee! Alright, to start with, Eme dug up the old Christmas cards I didn't have. Unbelievable! I now almost have every card from 1976 forward. I've also added my Christmas card from last year, check out my spinoff Christmas cards. For those of you who enjoyed it so much we have our annual putting up of the Christmas tree. Also, Kevin finishes his first batch of wine! Gran them bottles kids, and let the bottling of the wine begin! Finally, Dwayno decides North America isn't his cup of tea, the countdown begins to Dwayne's Australian blog, with pictures! this is a completely unique Spiderrun feature, you gotta check it out!
Well, that's it for me gang, I'm on mental vacation for the holidays! We'll see you all in the New Year!

11/29/2003, MEGA UPDATE! Okay, I have left you, my faithful audience, without an update for waaaayyy too long. So I busted my beer drinking butt and posted the largest number of pictures ever at one time! So be sure to check out the 200 some odd new pictures we've posted! You can see the OpenText Christmas Party or the fantastically fun wedding of Susanne and Justin. There's both the actual wedding and the after wedding reception! or see how Kevin is doing in Kevin Makes Wine, Part 1 Last but not least you don't want to miss the results of World War III which transpired at GeekerFest 2003 Those rascally Germans tried to take over my living room, but we kept them at bay all right... We fought them on the beaches, we fought them on the landing grounds, we fought them in the fields, and in the streets, we fought them in the hills and we never surrendered. No we didn't. Gosh darnit.

11/3/2003, A Letter From The Editor

10/19/2003, Satanic Squirrel, Marketing Gone Bad and MORE CATS! Until the CRTC declares a quota on the number of cat pictures you can have on one web site not unlike how it is mandated that radio stations play so much Canadian music and only make so many fart jokes, I will continue to post pictures of my furry beasts for your enjoyment... Okay mostly for my enjoyment. A special collection of bizarre products have crossed my desk and I thought I'd share with all you marketing hopefuls how NOT to package your product!
Carl Zehr is at it again, releasing satanic squirrels cultivated from the nether regions of Pennsylvania into the once fair yards of my beloved city. Can anything be done to stop these tyrants before they destroy everything we have come to love? Is the moral fabric of society to be chewed away at like some cheap birdfeeder from a major homeware chain store? Will Adam West ever play Batman again?

9/14/2003, Kegger Fer Kwality 2003! Another year with Joseph Juran and Malcom Baldridge passes and the sun sets on another Kegger Fer Kwality. Thanks to all who helped me take pictures, we had so many I made up two pages. The early entertainment and olympics pics and then some after dark pics (warning depending on what you think should be done with a fox stole this may not be suitable for kids :)
Hepa, hepa, rah rah rah, hepa, hepa, yah yah yah, oooo, I love hepa.

8/24/2003, My Neighbour, Darkness Falls In Kitchener and MORE FUR! There are interesting things all around us when you take the opportunity to look around, though sometimes we intentionally try not to look at things, like my My Neighbour's Yard which is a good indication that if humanity was to collapse, oh say, due to some power outage, that mother nature would take over completely within the spanse of a summer. Speaking of power outages, I got the unique chance to play with some great long exposure photography tricks including a great shot of Mars on its crash course with planet Earth. Check it all out at the Darkness Falls page. Can somebody explain to me why my neighbour cleans his pool every day but never swims in it?
We've got some more shots of the Lazy Fur for all the fans of my overweight lazy beasts and I even caught a couple more pics of Captain Special for anybody who thinks that acting like an idiot to amuse oneself is funny. Enjoy, but careful, you don't want to get a papercut from this webpage!

7/22/2003, This Means War 4! A Trip To Huron Couty, Captain Speicial and My Treo 90 Is For Sale!! Hello all the people out there in TV land. Or in our case, Spider-monkey land... This has been the longest I have ever left you without an update! And do you know why?? Me neither!!! There's no shortage of pictures piling up, that's fer sure! Well then, let's give you three new fun pages to poke at, just be gentle with Captain Special, you never know what could set him off. Or if you want a laugh at somebody else's expense be sure to check out this means war PART 4!
Now if you want to really know why there hasn't been an update it's because you'd be hard pressed to keep me at my desk during these beautiful summer months! HA! Okay time for a shameless advert: Treo 90 for sale, only 4 months old, got an even funkier device though Treo 90 still makes that new electronics smell when you first turn it on.

6/30/2003, Frequently Asked Questions & Watch the Yard Grow! Okay, so watching a yard grow is like watching paint dry but hey, if you spin through them real fast it's like some cool time warp brought on by a time machine like the one that H.G. Wells wrote about and Guy Pearce built only to find it led him to his ultimate doom. Well let me tell you! There is certainly no ultimate doom in my back yard!
Oh, and we answered some of your standard questions in a little FAQ.

6/1/2003, Chad & Tania Get Married and The Garbage Sale Of The Century! Well, Chad and Tania finally tied the knot, and on such a nice day too. I sure don't know what went on in the background of the whole thing but it seemed to go off without a hitch. I took a bazillion pictures and even had to recharge my battery in between the wedding and the reception. So I thought I'd post them all across two whole pages! Check out the whole thing here!
The weekend before that was a whole other interesting kettle of crawdaddys with the one time only ocurance that was a family garage sale. I think we physicaly moved about 2 tons of JUNK into the driveway to be sold. I couldn't help myself, there we so many funky things that I posted about 120 pictures over two pages. Check it out if you dare, and while you're at it, have a sausage! Support your local sausage economy! Eating sausages makes jobs! * A message from your local sausage workers union

5/13/2003, Daily Shatnerism, Ancient Christmas Cards Shatner and I go way back. He was one of the original head photoshoppers. Fer sure, that was way back in the days of Photoshop version 1.0, that's before they had colour, it was all just black and white. So here's a couple of pics from that era, the man himself, Willie H. Shatner. I also threw up my moms old Christmas Cards which are so old that they were on that photographic paper that had the rounded corners, remember that? If you do then you were alive before 1978 and if you went to pick up your photos one fine day in 1981 and asked "Hey, what happened to the round corners on my film?" some big guy named Vinnie would come along and take you out behind the store and neither you nor the round cornered photos would ever be seen again!

4/28/2003, Wine Making 102, More Fur and Finished Floor Mat Well if you've followed the instructions from the Wine Making 101 you should now have a bucket of goop. Good, lets' continue onto Wine Making 102 where you will learn how to get cat fur out of wine. Speaking of cat fur since various pictures of cats drooling on each other seems to get the highest number of hits, here's some more fur ball pics. Meanwhile, back at the ranch Ag with her 3 weeks off gets a chance to finish her Sistene Chapel of floor art. Oh! I almost forgot, if you haven't yet been in an accident in my Accident Alley you should study it well so you can avoid one! Einstein was a patent clerk! Viva la France!

Check it out skater dude! I have updated a couple pages though, you gotta check out the latest in Wine Making 101 and all the other creative funky stuff being done to Ag's Mat!. Did you know the Marianas trench off the coast of South America is 11 kms deep? That's deeper than the atmosphere is high!! You see I've rearranged everything simply to please my own sense of vanity. After realizing that Spiderrun definitely had to be much more graphically pleasing I came up with what you are now looking at. Oh come now, don't cry, the old Spiderrun was getting old anyways, and when things get old you have to take them out behind the barn with the shotgun. Good luck finding anything you ever found before! MWHAaaaa!!!
