First Hurrah from Osaka posted Saturday, May 01, 2004 Hi there fun seekers it' Laura and Jonas finally making an entry.
We hope to post some of our fun and funky photos soon, but just to start we'd like to say that Osaka is amazing and cool and hot and humid and hazy and busy and cosmopolitan and traditional and concrete and full of bikes and people and restaurants and shops and lights and bars and vending machines and high rises and covered malls and underground malls and streetside shops and restaurants and lights and all kinds of things to see and do. We've been on a ferriswheel on the top of a department store, we've been on the 55th floor observation deck of the World Trade Centre, we've been to the Osaka Castle, we've been to Kyoto to see the temples and walk on the Philosopher's Walk. We've been spending time with folks from New Zealand, Australia, Scotland, England, Edmonton and more!
Work is going well, we're getting adjusted, and getting to know the ropes. It's fun to meet students from all over the country.
Anyway must make haste to work, but wanted to finally enter some info for us.
It's really fun to get mail here, so send us a postcard or letter or something...
