Between the Lines posted Wednesday, February 18, 2004 Just a few of many things I've managed to throw together over the last few years.
-Joy
I come here often to think of you.
Not everyday I admit it’s true.
There’s not a day goes by that I feel alone
All thanks to us and the bond we’ve sewn.
The first time we met, you made me smile,
I remember it now I was just a child.
This must’ve been over a decade ago,
I snuggled up with you and wouldn’t let go.
You had this trick, you made that noise,
It drove me wild, as well the rest of the boys.
You’re much older now, and not near as small,
I’ve grown too, in comparison , quite tall.
But you’ll always be mine because you’re there for me.
We make a great team, of course it’s plain to see.
Although she’s my fun filled companion we’ll never marry.
Being without her is like a sundae without the cherry.
I’m here to be loyal to the very end,
And that would be the story of my feline friend.

-Mother Nature
Few Colours around me. I see brown and green,
Unless you were here, you won’t know what I’ve seen.
The wind screams loudly, blowing through every inlet and bay,
No matter how unforgiving, I’m here to stay.
The brisk cold that it brings, will make me shiver at night,
I’m still here now so in turn there’s a fight.
My clothes are wet, from the rain yesterday,
While kayaking back, the waves wanted to play.
Her revenge is so graceful, in comparison no doubt.
To the toxic waste and pollution, our factories pump out.
Few realized, when too much was too much,
When we were breathing through masks and scared of touch.
So we’ll continue living, with man made disease,
While our environment dies with all the brown and green trees.
