Our second overnight stop was a national park. Huge private beach. Made me want to do another nude beach run. Camping was free with a donation. Sounds fishy to me. I was taught that evening how to play the board game risk. I was warned it was a long game, but when four drunken stoned backpackers are playing. Long doesn't describe it. All I remember is that I won, no matter what the others say. At that point of the night I made up my own rules. Thankfully the kangaroos we saw earlier that avo(afternoon) didn't bother us at night. Was worried they'd come and shake our tent like the "Blair Witch Project". The next road trip included 2 giant tourist traps. The biggest prawns and banana in Australia. We arrived at our next sleeping ground in Byron Bay. It was a hostel with a lot of flare. Lotsa rooms to chose from, or can sleep outside in giant Teepees or wagons. I opted again for my tent that could be set up in the back. Again the English stayed in the hostel the first night. Moved in to our tents today though. This tent area reminds me of Tent city in downtown Toronto. A place on the lakeshore, where homeless would build their makeshift homes outta whatever they could find. Many would be lucky enough have a tent donated. This place is just packed full of tarps and tents squished together. Although my first night I didn't stay in the tent. I overheard an idea to sleep on the beach and watch the sunrise., The most comfy sleep I'll ever have. Since we were on the beach at midnight anyway for one of the fullmoon parties that are celebrated every full moon around the world. I just stuck around. I didn't get to enjoy the sunrise with anyone though, the rest of the car crew walked back. Didn't bother me a bit though. We're all getting along surprisingly well. We'll be here for a few days in this touristy small town. Our next day trip will be to a tiny town called Nimbin. Australias cannabis capital. I've been dying to buy postcards from this popular town. I hear they've good ice cream too!!!
